Odisha was known for its fierce and mighty Kalinga Empire in antiquity. Following the Kalinga War with the Mauryan Empire, the emperor Ashoka accepted Buddhism in this location. He truly built several Buddhist structures, such as Chaityas, Stupas, Monasteries, and Caves, when he adopted and began practicing Buddhism. He did this to disseminate the word about Buddhism and how it may help someone reach peace and harmony.The perfect opportunity to discover and learn about these locations, take a break from the city's bustle, and enjoy some satisfaction and quiet time is with an Odisha Buddhist tour package.The tour package includes visits to the Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves, Dhauli—the site of Ashoka's rock edictsthe Peace Pagoda, Lalitigiri Buddhist monastery, Ratnagiri Buddhist monastery, Kayam hill, Langudi giri Buddhist cave, and other stunning cityscapes and historic temples. It also includes stops at the Odisha State Museum, which is home to numerous Buddhist sculptures acquired from various archaeological Buddhist sites. Day 1 : Arrival at Bhubaneswar

Arrival in Bhubaneswar , Our representative or tour manager will greet you upon arrival in Bhubaneswar and transport you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to do as you like. Stay the night in Bhubaneswar.

Day 2  Bhubaneswar Local Sightseeing

Local Sightseeing in Bhubaneswar A full-day city tour of Bhubaneswar's temples, including the Buddhist-inspired Mukteswar Temple, one of the most significant temples. Visit the Khandagiri and Udaygiri Jain Caves from the second century B.C., as well as the Odisha (Orissa) State Museum, which houses many Buddhist sculptures excavated from several Buddhist archaeological sites in Odisha (Orissa). Stay the night in Bhubaneswar.

Day 3 :  Dhauli & Konark Sightseeing

Visit Dhauli, which is known for Ashoka's Rock Edicts and the site of the battle of Kalinga, which changed King Ashoka and led to his conversion to Buddhism. See the Peace Pagoda as well. Visit the world-famous Jagannath Temple, the Pipili applique works, the Sun Temple of Konark (observe the Buddhist influence on this temple), and then return to Bhubaneswar. Stay the night in Bhubaneswar.

 

Day 4 To Lalitgiri, Ratnagiri, and Udaygiri, 

Fulday excursion to Lalitigiri (an archeological site of a Buddhist monastery from the fourth to the eighth centuries AD), which features monastic remains, several votive stupas,variousBuddhist sculptures, a chaita hall, and a massive stupa from which Buddha relic caskets are accessible.From the fourth to the fourteenth centuries AD, Ratnagiri, the largest Buddhist monastery we currently know of, flourished with the majority of sculptors of the Vajrayna sect, hundreds of votive and brick stupas, and a massive monastery.Visit Udaygiri, a sizable Buddhist monastery that is presently being excavated, after that, then return to Bhubaneswar for the night.

Day 5: Travel to Langudi's Kayam Hill

Trip lasting the entire day to Kayam Hill, a Buddhist cave, and Langudi Giri, a recent excavation containing the remains of a monastery, stupas, and several Mahayanic sculptors, as well as the Five Dhyani Buddhas. Return to Bhubaneswar to spend the night.

Day 6: Tour End
